How do refunds work with Vipps?

If a payment made via Vipps is refunded, the amount is automatically returned to the payment method linked to your Vipps account. This is typically the same card or bank account that was used for the original payment. Vipps supports both full and partial refunds.

Once we issue the refund, it will be processed through Vipps and sent back to your original payment method. You will usually see the refunded amount appear in the Vipps app first, followed by the entry on your bank or card statement. Depending on your bank, it may take a few business days for the refund to be fully processed and visible.

If you are unsure about your bank’s posting times, we recommend checking with your bank to find out when refund transactions are typically credited.
